The Sound Formation System is your child’s pre-reading blueprint inside the Jungle Combine. Instead of memorizing letter names and songs, your child trains fast, embodied sound reflexes that make decoding feel automatic later.
We don’t start with the ABCs.
We start with sound reflexes.
This first phase helps your child build automatic, confident connections between letters and their sounds — no songs, no gimmicks. Just sharp, sticky sound recall that lives in the brain and the body. We build it through conversation, movement, rhythm, and custom sets (like SMATF and NIPOD) tailored to your child’s pace.
This is how we untrain the song and retrain the sound.
Because letter names don’t build words — letter sounds do.
Now that sounds are secure, we cross the bridge.
This phase introduces 2-letter blends — vowel-consonant (VC) and consonant-vowel (CV) patterns. These are the building blocks of real reading, and they’re often skipped in traditional curricula. But here, we slow it down, and master it with movement, rhythm, and repetition.
Think: at, am, in, up, ed — stretched, snapped, and spoken with confidence.
These are the bridges that carry your child to real words.
This is where your child reads their first real words.
We call them CVC words — short, simple words like cat, red, sun, pig, and hop. But we don’t just read them. We stretch and snap them. We dance with them. We change one letter at a time to build entire families of fluency — like mat, sat, pat or cap, cab, can.
We’re not teaching sight words.
We’re building sound agility.
In this video, Nova is doing rapid-fire alphabet drills — not singing the ABCs… but mastering the sounds each letter makes. That’s the real key.
Most kids get stuck because they learn songs before sounds — and it shows. Singing “A-B-C” won’t help when it’s time to decode “cat” or “bed.” That’s why we don’t do cute songs here. We build real skill with real repetition.
In this video, Nova is practicing the “I” vowel family — working through 2- and 3-letter blends to strengthen her sound recognition and build reading fluency. This focused practice helps her spot patterns faster and read with more confidence.
